Packed Bed Distribution
BETE is a world leader in the field of sprayers for moistening packings and distributing liquids in scrubbers. The packings are evenly sprayed with wash liquid by the sprayers, creating a thin film of liquid. The gas is washed as it flows upward through the packings. This liquid film allows for chemical reactions between the wash liquid and the process gas.
Various options for packing spraying
The packing can vary greatly in design. BETE has extensive experience in providing customized spray nozzle solutions for various applications involving packings. Often, axial flow cone sprayers with a swirl body are used, made from materials such as PVC, PP, or PTFE. The ability to resist clogging by small particles or foreign substances is also often essential when choosing a sprayer. The MaxiPass (MP) or IS series are therefore highly suitable for these applications. Important considerations also include homogeneous coverage, droplet size, and flow rate.
These spray nozzles are also suitable for distributing water in humidifiers, in the chemical and petrochemical industries, and for example, in power generation applications.
