Wash Water Injection
Water is injected into process lines in the refining, petrochemical, power generation, and chemical industries to wash impurities from gas streams and pipe components. This water washing process is important in refining crude oil into its component fractions. First, water is injected to remove salts and halides from the crude oil through precipitation, before they can affect and degrade the refining system. Later, during refining, washwater is sprayed into the hydrocarbon streams with nozzles to remove remaining solid particles.

BETE nozzles are designed to maximize efficiency in washwater injection applications, as they atomize and disperse the water into the process stream or tank, increasing the coverage and reaction surface of the water. Spray heads combined with BETE injection lances can evenly distribute the water along the centerline or desired areas of process streams or tanks.
