Combi Element

In order to save column height and to reduce the number of internals in a column it is often advisable to combine the tasks of different internals.

For various separation tasks in columns it is necessary to load several tower packing stages with different liquids. Between such column stages there is both a support grid for the packing and a collection tray for the down flowing liquid. The combi element developed by RVT Process Equipment GmbH combines these functions in one part. Additional advantages of this part are low pressure drop and very low weeping rates. It is recommendable to put the Combi-element onto a ring channel inside the column. Depending on column diameter additional support beams may be necessary.
