Sieve Trays

Sieve trays are a low-priced cost-effective type of mass transfer trays.Here, the tray consists only of a perforated plate. The liquid flows over the perforated plate while the vapor flows through the holes and liquid. The rising steam prevents the liquid from flowing directly through the holes. When using this type of tray, however, it should be noted that the load area is much lower than the valve trays.
